Milwaukee Bucks vs Atlanta Hawks Betting Odds, Lines Picks & Predictions Game 4

The Hawks will try to even the Eastern Conference Finals series as they host the Bucks on Tuesday night. On Sunday, they lost, Game 3 102-113 after collapsing in the 4th quarter. Even worse, Trae Young got injured and is now questionable for Game 4. Atlanta’s home form has been shaky lately, as they lost 3 out of the last 4 games. Their overall season record now stands at 50-37. Against the spread, the Hawks are 48-38-1 so far. The Bucks have finally got their offense clicking and will look for more of the same on Tuesday. They regained the home-court advantage and will now try to take the commanding 3-1 lead back home to Milwaukee. So far this season, the Bucks are 56-30 SU and 40-46 ATS. They now also have the upper hand in season matchups against the Hawks, winning 4 out of 6 games.

Line Movement

The initial odds favored the Bucks by -6. With Trae Young’s uncertain status, most of the action went Milwaukee’s way, moving the line to -7. We can expect even more movement as we get more news closer to the tip-off. The total has also shifted a bit, dropping from 221 to 219.

Notes on Milwaukee Bucks

On Sunday, the Bucks were behind for most of the game. Their first lead didn’t come until the 3rd quarter. After Young’s injury, they took complete control and dominated in the 4th, winning the period 30-17. Giannis, who’s also battling the injury himself, had another huge game with 38 points, 11 rebounds, and 7 assists. However, the star of the game was Khris Middleton. The All-star wing scored a playoff career-high 38 points. He exploded in the 4t quarter with 20 points, shooting 8-13 from the field and 4-6 from the deep. Also, the Bucks finally got some valuable contributions from the bench. Bobby Portis was excellent with 15 points in only 16 minutes. Pat Connaughton scored only 5 but was +25 in 32 minutes.

Giannis is again a game time decision, while Done DiVincenzo is, of course, out for the season.

Notes on Atlanta Hawks

Game 3 has shown just how important Trae Young is for this Atlanta team. The Hawks were pretty much in control until Yong’s freak injury. After falling on the referee’s foot and hurting his ankle, Young continued to play but lacked his usual explosiveness. In the first 3 quarters, he had 32 points, shooting 11-19 from the field. After the injury, he went 1-4 with only 3 points. With Young hobbling, Atlanta couldn’t create anything on offense and scored only 17 in the final period. In addition, no other player stepped up to pick up the scoring. The only other player with a half-decent game was Gallinari with 18 points on 50% overall shooting. If Young isn’t at 100%, Atlanta’s chances of going through to the Finals will significantly decrease. Especially since Bogdan Bogdanovic is also still struggling with an injury of his own.

Young and Bogdanovic are both listed as questionable but should play. Hunter and Goodwin remain out.

Betting Pick: The Bucks -7

There’s just too much going against Atlanta at the moment. Sunday’s loss will certainly have a demoralizing effect. Having two key players at less than 100% is too much for the team that is not that deep. On the other hand, the Bucks have finally started to hit shots and have made positive adjustments on defense after Game 1. Follow Young’s news closely, but as things stand, the Bucks are overwhelming favorites.
