Game 6 Utah Jazz vs Los Angeles Clippers Betting Odds, Lines Picks & Predictions

Friday night might easily turn out to be historic for the Clippers. They have a chance to reach Wester Conference Finals for the first time in the franchise’s history. The road there goes through the road game against the Jazz. On Wednesday they got the road win, outdueling Utah 119-111 to take the 3-2 series lead. The win is even more valuable as they achieved it without their best player, Kahwi Leonard. After winning and covering in Game 5, the Clips are now 54-30 SU and 46-36-2 ATS for the season. The Jazz failed to capitalize on the Clippers’ injury troubles and now must win to stay in the playoffs. This is the first elimination game for them in this playoffs, as they easily handled Memphis in the first round. They have 6 wins in the last 10 road games but have lost on both previous trips to LA in this series. Over the season the Jazz are 58-24 SU and 46-34-2 ATS. This will be the ninth time the two teams share the floor this season. So far, the matchup is spit right down the middle with each team winning four times.

Line Movement

With Kahwi injured, the Jazz are the road favorites even though they failed to both win or cover in the last game. At the moment they’re favored by -1.5. The total is set at 219.5 or 220 depending on the online bookie.

Notes on Utah Jazz

it seems that, upon receiving Kahwi news, the Jazz thought that the Clips are just going to roll over and die. Especially, after the 1st hall which they ended up leading by 5. However, Utah has struggled on offense throughout the series and it was never more obvious than in the 3rd quarter on Wednesday. In this period the Jaz managed to score only 18 points. It’s obvious the Conley’s absence and the lack of playmaking is hurting them. So far, Donovan Mitchell has bailed them out with his heroics, but he wasn’t able to do much in Game 5. The young guard is dealing with an injury of his own and has finished the game with only 21 points. The best Jazzer in the loss was Bojan Bogdanovic. The Croatian scored 32 points and shot an incredible 17 times for three.

Mike Conley is still listed as questionable and uncertain for Game 6. Donovan Mitchell is also game-time decision, but it’s hard to believe he’ll miss out.

Notes on Los Angeles Clippers

Many have written off Clippers as the news of Kahwi’s injury broke. However, in the absence of LA’s best player, Paul George stepped up. LA’s wing produced one of the best playoff games in his career. He reminded us of his performances while in Pacers’ uniform when he used to single-handedly carry the team through the playoffs. On Wednesday, George 37 on 22 shots, adding 16 rebounds and 5 assists in an all-around dominant performance. He had a lot of help from Marcus Morris and Reggie Jackson who scored 25 and 22, respectively. The Clippers did OK without Kahwi throughout this season going 12-9. This will be the first full-capacity game this year in LA.

Kahwi joins Serge Ibaka on the list of unavailable players for tonight.

Game 6 Utah Jazz vs Los Angeles Clippers Betting Odds, Lines Picks & Predictions

Betting Pick: Clippers +1.5

The Clippers may be without Kahwi, but Uta also has its own injury issues. Mitchell is clearly feeling the effects of an ankle injury. Without him at 100%, chances for the win significantly decrease. After what we saw in Game 5, it seems that the market has overadjusted to Kahwi’s injury by making Clippers the home underdogs.
