Notes On The Milwaukee Bucks For Game 2

The Bucks were lethargic during Game 1. After a four-game sweep of the Miami Heat in the first round, Milwaukee went from May 29 to June 5 without playing a game and it showed. At the end of the first quarter, Milwaukee held an 8-10 lead but Brooklyn outscored them in the rest of the game to win Game 2 with a final score 117-103.

The first game in the series between Milwaukee Bucks and Brooklyn Nets didn’t go well for Giannis Antetokounmpo. Giannis shot 12-of-23 with just 34 points, but should have scored more if not for some hard fouls.

Deron Williams was the only member of the supporting cast for Brooklyn that had a good game, with 19 points on 8-of-11 shooting. Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton struggled too, with 30 points on 13-of-42 shooting between them, a huge contrast to Brook Lopez who did very well.

The Milwaukee Bucks lost Game 2 of the series at home to the Brooklyn Nets, 78-82. The Bucks shot an abysmal 36% from three point range and saw their lead dwindle throughout the fourth quarter as Brook Lopez found a rhythm inside for the first time this series.

Notes On The Brooklyn Nets For Game 2

In Game 1, James Harden played only 43 seconds for the Nets. The team spread their minutes out and several players stepped up in his place. The other four in the starting lineup combined for 91 points and everybody chipped in offensively with at least 18 points. Kevin Durant led the way with 29.

In addition to their lack of size, the Bucks had a horrendous defense against 3-pointers in the regular season. Milwaukee’s defenses was particularly bad, allowing 8.6 three pointers per game and 39% shooting from that area for an opponent’s total of 288 triples during regular season play.

Even though both Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant were 4 of 15, they still helped the team take home a victory.

Brooklyn only had six offensive rebounds to 15 for the Bucks, but the big disparity in three-point shots was more than enough to make up for it. The Nets got some contributions from bench players Mike James and Mook Jones who both did well with twelve points a piece and seven boards each.
Game 2 Milwaukee Bucks vs Brooklyn Nets Betting Odds, Lines Picks & Predictions

Game 2 Milwaukee Bucks vs Brooklyn Nets Betting Pick & Prediction: Milwaukee Bucks +1.5

The Bucks were just 20% from 3 in Game 1. They shot 5-of-31 for 16.1% against the Heat in Game 1 of their playoff series. Not surprisingly, they played better against Brooklyn once the stakes got higher – but Miami was still a much less formidable adversary than Brooklyn could have been since both teams wore down over time.Still, Milwaukee had a really rough game. The team’s other players didn’t perform well, and Brooklyn now goes from adjusting on the fly to having a plan of attack against Harden going down. Sometimes it’s better just to go off-the-cuff and make everyone do more.
