The Padres were listed as +350 second-favorites in this race with the defending champion San Francisco Giants further down the list as +500 third favorites.

The Boston Red Sox made short work of Philadelphia with an 8-0 shutout this past Monday to get their season off to a solid start. After finishing last in the American League’s East Division last season, the Red Sox came into the new season as +200 favorites to win the division title this time around. Both Baltimore and Toronto were listed as a +300 second-favorite with New York further down the list at +450 MLB USA online Sportsbooks betting odds.

The battle for the AL Central title could be the most competitive race on the board with Detroit listed as a +220 favorite followed closely by Chicago and Cleveland at +240 odds. The Tigers stayed true to form as defending AL Central champs with a 4-0 shutout of Minnesota on Opening Day as -150 home favorites.

Seattle has not won an AL West title since the 2001 season, but heading into this season’s opener against the Los Angeles Angels, the Mariners were listed as +125 favorites to win the title this year. They got things started in the right direction with a 4-1 MLB baseball betting victory over the Angels as -155 home favorites.
