UFC 264 Betting Picks, Predictions, Odds, Lines & Spreads

UFC 264 features some excellent bouts that will help fans forget there’s not a title fight crossing the Octagon this Saturday at T-Mobile Arena.

The next chapter of the rivalry between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier is scheduled to be written Saturday night in the lightweight main event. In the co-main event, Gilbert Burns and Stephen Thompson will try to get themselves positioned for a welterweight title shot.

In total, this event will have 13 fights: five preliminaries on ESPN+ and then the six main bouts live on PPV.

In the sportsbooks we list best bets and betting angles from for Saturday’s UFC 264 event.

Hu Yaozong (+115) vs. Alen Amedovski (-135); Total: 1.5 (-150/120)

There are two fights in the middleweight division at 185 pounds.Yaozong has fought twice for the UFC so far, both of those in China. His last fight was November 24th in Beijing.

This one is not, as Alen Amedovski, who also lost twice in the UFC, shakes off a two-year hiatus after losing in 17 seconds to John Phillips. This is a hard fight to bet on. Better options are forthcoming.

Jerome Rivera (+260) vs. Zhalgas Zhumagulov (-310); Total: 2.5 (-215/175)

Our next fight features a $3 favorite in Zhalgas Zhumagulov.Zhumagulov is a fighter in the UFC, but he has not won any of his last two fights. Jerome Rivera also needs a win because he has lost three straight fights.

Zhumagulov is a heavy favorite to win this game. But I do not think that the price is worth it. It would be so-so, or maybe even bad.

Omari Akhmedov (+145) vs. Brad Tavares (-165); Total: 2.5 (-215/175)

Hopefully we get a good matchup between Brad Tavares and Omari Akhmedov. A lot of people put money on the Tavares side before they fought each other. One year after a devastating injury, Ricardo Tavares (Tava Taveras) returned to the octagon and beat Antonio Carlos Junior at UFC 257. This was the second installment in the Poirier vs. McGregor main event.

Tavares’s previous two losses were to Edmen Shahbazyan and Israel Adesanya. He’ll be getting a solid test from Akhmedov in this fight, as four of the Russian fighter’s last five bouts have ended in victories while he struggled with takedown defense against Chris Weidman back in August. Tavares is a smart, veteran fighter, but he’ll be up against it this fight with Bermudez coming off his knockout victory over Ricardo Lamas in March.

Jessica Eye (+160) vs. Jennifer Maia (-185); Total: 2.5 (-325/250)

Jessica Eye has suffered losses in the last two fights, both times to opponents Valentina Shevchenko and Cynthia Calvillo. The outcome for this fight appears to be clear from the start, as per odds set by UFC 264 betting experts.

Now 29, Maia has been the champ for over a year, defeating one of Eye’s first opponents. The Brazilian is 27-4 and has been finishing opponents in recent fights. These two fighters have similarities in skills and style, with a potential hangover effect for Maia following his 249-strike fight against Shevchenko. With this in mind, it seems like the underdog has a chance to prevail here. Odds of Eye at +160 do not look bad based on that information.
