MLB Betting Roundup – July 23

The second half of the MLB regular season is underway and things are heating up in all six division races. No lead is safe as the largest spread in any of the title races is just 5.5 games. VietBet has you covered for all the action as the best MLB betting site for US Players.

It is suddenly a five-team race in the AL East with Boston winning eight of its last 10 games and Tampa Bay extending its current winning streak to six games with a 7-2 victory over St. Louis on Tuesday night as +139 road underdog on VietBet’s closing MLB moneyline. Baltimore still leads the way by four games over New York (51-48) and Toronto (52-49) with a record of 55-44 as of Tuesday night’s games.

Detroit’s lead in the AL Central is down 5.5 games over Cleveland after dropping three of four to the Indians this past weekend. The Tigers (55-42) are 5-5 in their last 10 games while Cleveland (51-49) has won seven of its last 10 outings.

It is pretty much a two-team race in the AL West between the Oakland Athletics (61-38) and the Los Angeles Angels. Oakland’s lead is down to just two games after losing three of its last four contests. The Angels (59-40) remain one of the hottest teams in the Majors with a 12-3 record in their last 15 games.

Washington and Atlanta continue to battle it out in the NL East with the Nationals (55-43) opening-up a two game lead on the strength of a four-game winning streak. This past Tuesday night they beat Colorado 7-4 as -190 road favorites, while the Braves (54-46) dropped their second-straight game at home against Miami (47-52) as heavy favorites in each.

The tightest race in the NL is in the Central Division with four teams within five games of one another. Milwaukee (56-45) is still clinging to a 1.5-game lead over St. Louis (54-46) and Pittsburgh is just 2.5 games back at 53-47. Cincinnati has stumbled out of the gate in the second half with a five-game losing streak, but at 51-49 the Reds are still just 4.5 games off the pace.

San Francisco has won seven of its last 10 games to improve to 56-44 overall. It currently has a one game lead over Los Angeles in the NL West. The Dodgers (56-46) are an even 5-5 in their last 10 games after losing to Pittsburgh 12-7 in a wild one on Tuesday as +105 road underdogs on Viet Bet’s closing betting odds. These two bitter rivals will kick-off a crucial three game series in San Francisco this Friday night.
