MLB Betting Weekly Roundup – June 25
As the summer weather starts to heat up so are the MLB division title races in both the American and National League. The 2014 regular season is rapidly approaching the halfway point as several teams continue to jockey for position in their run for a spot in the postseason.
The Toronto Blue Jays are still holding down the top spot in the AL East at 44-35 as of Tuesday night’s games. They have a 2.5-game lead over Baltimore and New York is just 3.5 games back. The Blue Jays stretched the gap over the Yankees with a 7-6 victory on Tuesday as 128 home favorites on BetAnySports’ closing MLB moneyline.
The Detroit Tigers are back on top in the AL Central on the strength of a five-game winning streak. They are now 41-32 on the year and three games ahead of Kansas City in the standings. The Royals briefly captured the lead last week after taking three of four from the Tigers, but they have now dropped four of their last five outings.
The AL West is a three-way battle between Oakland, Los Angeles and Seattle. The Athletics have had the upper hand all season long and they are currently four games ahead of the Angels. The Mariners are 5.5 games back and picking-up speed with eight victories in their last 10 games. They have won five straight heading into Wednesday’s contest against Boston as 147 home favorites on BetAnySports betting odds for the game.
