The team with the best return on a money line wager through the first half of the season is the surprising Minnesota Twins. With victories in their last two games against Baltimore as home underdogs, their total return now stands at +$1458.
The experts from the best USA online Sportsbooks see the Twins trail Kansas City by 4.5 games in the AL Central Division race at 45-39. The Royals have now won their last three games to boost their money line return to +$1300. They have been the most balanced MLB team to wager on this season with a +$694 return at home and a +$606 return on the road.
Houston boasts the best record in the American League at 49-37 and its return on the year stands at +$1098. The hottest team in the AL West right now happens to be the Los Angeles Angles, who have cut the Astros’ lead to just 2.5 MLB betting games with an 8-2 run in their last 10 games. The Texas Rangers still have the best money line return in that division at +$1174, but their current four-game slide has dropped them seven games off the pace at 41-43.
The heated AL East has suddenly turned into a five-team battle that is separated by just five games after Boston joined the fray with a 7-3 run in its last 10 games. New York (+$115) and Baltimore (+$46) are the only two teams in the black.
