Verlander was at one time the most dominant pitcher in the big leagues, but that has changed. With four wins in their last six games, the Tigers have shown a little more life in the short term than have the Angels, who have dropped three of their last five. In terms of other trends that should be of interest to MLB bettors is the fact that Detroit has played six of its last eight games over the total, and the Angels have won seven of the last eight meetings they have had against the Tigers.
